What are kidney stones?

Kidney stones are hard lumps that are formed inside the kidneys when calcium compounds, impurities, salts and minerals aren't drained while passing urine. It may cause nausea and severe pain in the abdomen if not treated properly.

Causes of kidney stone-

 Stones in kidney is mainly caused when the impurities and minerals are not filtered properly from the kidneys. These minerals stay in the kidney, and with time they form stones by constituting themselves with unfiltered calcium compounds and impurities.

Main reason of its formation is lack of consumption of healthy fluids which generally helps the kidneys to clear themselves up easily. Weakness of kidneys with age may also result to improper filtration.

 

Symptoms-

  1. Urge to urinate frequently.

  2. Sharp pain in lower abdomen.

  3. Foul smell in urine.

  4. Colour of the urine will get yellow or dark.

  5. Burning sensation while passing urine.

  6. Persisting infection may cause pain or difficulty while urinating.
