Tonsillitis is caused when the Tonsils get severely affected by any infection or persisting cold. Tonsils are soft oval shaped glands situated at the inner part of the throat. Infections caused by viruses or bacteria lead to tonsillitis. It does require medical attention at its early stage. If tonsillitis persists or the inflammation/infection increases, a surgery will be required to remove the tonsils.

Symptoms of tonsillitis-

  1. Fever/chills.

  2. Pain in ears.

  3. Runny nose.

  4. Breathing difficulties.

  5. Throat pain.

  6. Bad breathing odor.

  7. Snoring.

  8. Fatigue.

  9. Nausea.

Causes of tonsillitis-

-Viral infection: Maximum cases of tonsillitis are caused by    influenza virus.

-Bacterial infection.

 

Tonsillectomy-

Tonsillectomy is the surgical procedure of removing the tonsil, specially done when the tonsil infection gets severe. It is done to stop the frequent occurrence of tonsil infections, thus improving overall health conditions, improved sleep & effortless breathing functionality.
